'Like' Art Collective Facebook Page and Win Free Paintings, Photos, Stickers and More

Christmas may be over, but you can still get a sweet gift courtesy of local art collective &THEM.

In honor of their one-year anniversary, the group is holding a giveaway contest featuring original artwork, high quality prints, pins, stickers and even mix CDs. Altogether, the art collective has gathered more than 150 items to be given away in 16 prize bundles.

To be eligible, all you have to do is click “Like” on their Facebook page.

The group will randomly select four Facebook fans a week each week in January, with winners announced every Sunday, according to &THEM curator Francis Ramos. [Ed.’s note: Ramos is a Union City Patch contributor.]

“The contest is to celebrate one year of the collective being together, the artists we work with and to say thanks to the followers that have been supporting us,” Ramos said. “Hopefully it will bring awareness to new people about what we’re doing.”

The quartet of curators provides emerging visual artists from throughout the Bay Area with both online and physical platforms to showcase their work at venues such as San Francisco’s Hotel des Arts. The group held at the hotel and continues to feature artists at the venue. The group also held , which featured local artists coloring with children.

Ramos started giving &THEM followers previews of the giveaway prizes last month. Among them are items from 10 different artists, including a few locals.

Prizes include geoboards — wooden boards with nails and rubber bands used to teach children how to explore shapes — from artist , original paintings from , artwork and pins from and prints from photographer Paciano Triunfo, who also contributes to Union City Patch.

What winners receive, however, will be a surprise.

“People won’t know what they’ll receive until they get it in the mail,” Ramos said.

Anyone who already likes their Facebook fan page or clicks "Like" from today until the end of the month will be eligible to win.
