Suspects Sought After Home Invasion in Kitiyama Neighborhood

Police are searching for three suspects who reportedly ransacked the home of an elderly couple during a home invasion robbery Monday afternoon.Union City police officers said the robbery was reported around 2 p.m. in the Kitiyama neighborhood after two suspects forced their way inside of the home of an elderly couple as the elderly man was trying to shut the front door while returning from home. City Honors Police Dispatcher of the Year 

City officials honored Union City Police Department dispatcher Lisa Miller Tuesday night. Miller has been named the agency's 2012 Dispatcher of the Year. According to a Union City Police Department press release, "Lisa was recognized for her skill, optimism, hard work, and her contributions to keeping citizens of Union City safe."

Registration for Race to Save Student Activities Open

Registration for the fourth annual Race to Save Student Activities Fun Run and Walk is now open. The race, which will be held on June 8, includes 5K and 10K races, in addition to kid races. Pre-registration fees for adults cost $25. Click here for more details.
