Walk to End Cancer at Union City's Relay for Life

Honor cancer survivors, remember lost loved ones and raise awareness about cancer by walking at the Relay for Life this Saturday and Sunday.

Union City’s 8th annual Relay For Life will be held on Saturday, Aug. 24 and Sunday, Aug. 25 at James Logan High School, starting at 10 a.m.

This 24-hour, nationwide event honors cancer survivors, thanks caregivers and remembers loved ones lost to the disease. Participants also have the chance to learn about ways to prevent cancer, and how to raise money for cancer research and cancer support programs.

Starting on Saturday, 51 teams will camp out at JLHS. Because cancer never sleeps — each team will have a member walking or running the track at all times.
