Video: Santa's Little Helpers Take Over Streets In Annual Parade

Thousands attended the annual Santa Paws Parade in Hayward to raise money for the Hayward Animal Shelter.

For pet lovers, downtown Hayward was more than a winter wonderland Saturday morning — it was a celebration of our four-footed friends.

According to Kim Huggett, president of the Hayward Chamber of Commerce, more than a thousand people attended the City of Hayward’s annual Santa Paws Parade.

Everything from dogs and cats to a pig and a miniature horse dressed as a reindeer took to the streets for the annual event, which benefits the Hayward Animal Shelter.
