'Union City Eats' Food Truck Dinner Menu: Oct. 20

Tonight's lineup includes a variety of food trucks, including a Peruvian sandwich vendor, a gourmet burger truck, multiple Filipino food trucks and more.

Nine gourmet food trucks hit Union Landing tonight for the Union City Eats food truck festival.

Peruvian sandwich truck Sanguchon, Mexican taqueria on wheels Tacos de Los Altos and Hawaiian-Filipino truck Rice Rockit return for the second week in a row. Gourmet burger vendor Five Ten Burger also makes another rare appearance in Union City.

Missing this week is Grill Stars, which is in the shop getting a new look.

Here's a full lineup of who will be parked alongside Walmart from 4:30 to 9 p.m. tonight. (Note: Lineup is subject to change.)

Five Ten Burger

  • This Oakland-based truck specializes in artisan burgers and sandwiches made with fresh ingredients from local sources. The meat, purchased from a Bay Area market, is freshly ground each morning. The owner even hand-makes his own mayonnaise (three different flavors).

MoGoBBQ

  • One of the first food trucks to visit Union City, MoGo BBQ is a local favorite. The truck specializes in Korean BBQ served in burritos, tacos, sliders, quesadillas and bacon-wrapped hot dogs with kimchi.

Rice Rockit

  • From the Hawaiian-inspired Teri-Beef Meatball Loco Moco and the Filipino-like beer boiled Longanisa (sausage) sliders to Lynchee-Walnut Shrimp skewers and various types of fries, this truck is sure to satisfy your tastebuds.

Sanguchon

  • Appearing two weeks in a row at Union City Eats is San Francisco-based Sanguchon, which specializes in hearty Peruvian sandwiches made with a variety of meats, including pulled pork, steak, braised chicken and chicharron. The truck also offers home made fruit drinks.

Tacos De Los Altos

  • Tacos de los Altos offers traditional Mexican taco truck items, including tacos and burritos.

That’s Sweet! Dessert Truck

  • Cupcakes — yummy, specialty cupcakes — the stars of this gourmet truck. Flavors range from Salted Caramel to Red Velvet. They also bake up whoopie pies.

Twisted Chill

  • This truck offers self-serve soft-serve with eight rotating flavors and more than 20 toppings. Toppings include fresh organic fruit, candies, cereals and more.

The WOW Truck

  • The WOW Silog Truck specializes in silogs, a traditional Filipino breakfast served with garlic rice and fried egg. Their menu includes sweet sausage (longanisa), BBQ Chicken, cured pork (tocino), Spam, corned beef and more.

Yumsilog

  • Also specializing in silogs, Yumsilog's menu includes tapsilog (cured beef), tosilog (cured pork), longsilog (sweet sausage), Spamsilog (Spam) and bangsilog (Filipino milkfish).
