'Union City Eats' Food Truck Dinner Menu: Oct. 13

Curry Up Now, Sanguchon and Tacos de los Altos make their debut at tonight's food truck festival

Nine gourmet food trucks hit Union Landing tonight for the Union City Eats food truck festival.

Among them are three trucks -- Curry Up Now, Sanguchon and Tacos de los Altos -- making their Union City debut.

Here's who will be lined up alongside Walmart from 4:30 to 9 p.m. tonight. (Note: Lineup is subject to change.)

Bigg Shrimp'n

  • This truck knows everything there is to know about the shrimp'n business. Their menu includes spicy shrimp tacos, Vietnamese-style shrimp sandwiches, fried shrimp and more.

Curry Up Now

  • Craving curry in a hurry? This truck has got you covered. Curry Up Now, which also has a restaurant in San Mateo, serves up unique Indian street foods. Their menu includes Tikka Masala Burritos, Deconstructed Samosas (potato and pea samosas topped with mini-samosas, spicy chickpea curry, tomatoes, onions, sauces and your choice of ground beef, chicken or Indian cheese), Sexy Fries (sweet potato fries in masala with your choice of chicken or paneer), and more.

Grill Stars

  • This Fremont-based American BBQ food truck makes sure each visit is a new experience by switching up their menu every week. Keeping fans in suspense, they release their menu the day of the festival. Stay tuned to their Facebook page to find out what's they're cooking up today. House of Siam on Wheels

  • A mobile version of the House of Siam restaurant in San Jose, the truck specializes in Thai cuisine and includes Thai tacos, Pad Thai, Yellow Curry Chicken over rice and more. Try their "roti bouquet," which features grilled satay chicken rolled in a roti with peanut sauce, fresh green leafs, cucumbers, carrots, red onions and cilantro.

MoGoBBQ

  • One of the first food trucks to visit Union City, MoGo BBQ is a local favorite. The truck specializes in Korean BBQ served in burritos, tacos, sliders, quesadillas and bacon-wrapped hot dogs with kimchi.

Sanguchon

  • Making its first appearance at Union City Eats is San Francisco-based Sanguchon, which specializes in hearty Peruvian sandwiches made with a variety of meats, including pulled pork, steak, braised chicken and chicharron. The truck also offers home made fruit drinks.

Tacos De Los Altos

  • Another Union City newcomer, Tacos de los Altos offers traditional Mexican taco truck items including tacos and burritos.

That’s Sweet! Dessert Truck

  • Cupcakes — yummy, specialty cupcakes — are the stars of this gourmet truck. Flavors range from Salted Caramel and Maple Bacon to Red Velvet and Chocolate Vanilla. While it may sound perfect for a dessert, don't wait too long — their cupcakes sell out fast.

Yumsilog

  • Yumsilog specializes in silogs, a traditional Filipino breakfast served with garlic rice and fried egg. Their menu includes tapsilog (cured beef), tosilog (cured pork), longsilog (sweet sausage), Spamsilog (Spam) and bangsilog (Filipino milkfish).
