This Week: Pet Pics With Santa, Stories at the Library, Holiday Health Fair

Here's what's going down in and around Union City this week

Here are five events coming up this week that you should know about:

  • Bring your pet and — the last day for pet photos. Pets visits with Santa will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Prices of photo packages vary.
  • Join Social Security Administration specialists for the at the Union City Library on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. The free seminar will feature a presentation on matters particularly relevant to seniors, including identity theft, the solvency of social security and Medicare prescription costs.
  • Explore the joys of reading with your child during on Saturday, Dec. 17. From 1 to 2 p.m., Logan's Interact Club volunteers will welcome kids of all ages to enjoy stories and books. 
  • Don't let the holidays weigh you down! Visit the Health Fair at the Vitamin Shoppe on Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. and learn health tips from wellness leaders, including Dr. Abdollah Nejad of Chirosports USA, trainer Joseph Bautista of Dragon's Den Martial Arts and Fitness Club and more. Plus, receive free samples and enter to win a Vitamin Shoppe gift card.
  • Celebrate the holidays with the "" concert at Old Mission San Jose in Fremont on Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 4 p.m. Presented by the Ohlone Chamber Singers, the 26th annual event will feature Schubert's "Magnificat" and Rutter's "Gloria" with a full, ten-piece brass ensemble.
