- Why Go: The musical set within contemporary Los Angeles' brutal gang culture will feature a live rock and roll band, a chorus of hip-hop and salsa singers and dancers, and hand-painted murals and Latino artwork.

- Why Go: You can find cool and cheap items or peddle your wares. The Pioneer Elementary PTC will also be selling food and drinks and providing free face painting for children.

- Pricing: Free, though a $10 donation is suggested for adults, a $7 donation for seniors and students 12-18, and a $3 donation for children.

- Why Go: Children and teens ages 5 to 18 can try out for Stage 1's newest theatrical production, "The Wizard of Oz."
