Why Go: Celebrate Filipino food and music at the seventh annual Adobo Festival. This free fun-filled family event will feature live entertainment, delicious food, prizes, an Adobo Contest, a Kiddie Pop Star Competition (for ages 4 to 10), the Adobo Festival Variety Show and more.

Where/When: Ardenwood Historic Farm, 34600 Ardenwood Blvd., Fremont; from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sunday and Monday

Why Go: Enjoy steam train rides, hand car rides, narrow gauge speeder car rides, displays of garden railroads, model railroads, rail yard equipment displays, early days' gas engine and tractor displays, food, the childrens' hobo game, music and much more.

Price: $10 for adults, $6 for seniors  age 62 or older, $5 for children ages 4 through 17 years-old and free for youngsters age 3 and younger

Why Go: Join teacher Colette Pispisa and learn about all things knitting. Bring your own knitting needles and yarn.

Where/When: Hayward Area Historical Society, 22380 Foothill Blvd., Hayward; Saturday from 2 to 7 p.m.

Why Go: Sip on locally brewed beer from Buffalo Bill's Brewery in Hayward, Speakesy Brewery in San Francisco and Trumer from Berkeley while grooving to the sounds of Leo and the Blues Crew, The Lovelight Blues Band, and the Bay Area Blues Society Caravan of Allstars.

Price: Free concert; drinks and food available for purchase

Where/When: , 3961 Horner St., Union City; Sunday from 2:30 to 4 p.m.

Why Go: This free support group will help those with cancer alleviate physical and emotional pain. Yoga benefits may include better sleep, decreased fatigue and reduced anxiety, among others.
