Don’t have dental insurance for your little ones? The Southern Alameda County Dental Society’s got you covered.
As part of the American Dental Association’s National Children’s Dental Health Month, the nonprofit group will be offering a free clinic for children 4 to 14 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 2 at the University of the Pacific’s Union City Dental Care Center.
The clinic is located at 1203 J St. in Union City, within walking distance of the Union City BART station.
The free dental screenings and treatments will be performed by volunteer private dentists on a first come, first served basis, according to the SACDS.
No registration is required and translators will be on site for non-English speaking families, according to Melinda Miller, executive director of the SACDS.
The SACDS covers the Tri-Cities, along with Castro Valley, Dublin, Hayward, Livermore, San Leandro and San Lorenzo.
