NCS championships: James Logan had three wrestlers win
individual titles as it ran away with the North Coast Section team championship at Pittsburg High.
Hayley Aguilar (98 pounds), Melanie Cordero (118) and Alyssa Hernandez (138) all took first place in their weight classes to lead the Colts, who finished with a team score of 188 points. Albany, which had Chanel Chawalit
Other local individual champions included Heritage's Lania Dumdumaya (108), Clayton Valley's Kristina Arteaga (146), Hayward's Niauni Hill (165), Berkeley's
Sinorti Stegman (189) and Pittsburg's Sam Cruz (235). Dublin's Linda Tan, who took fourth at the state championships last year, won the 114-pound title.
The top three wrestlers in each weight class advanced to the state championships Feb. 22-23 at Lemoore High.
