3rd Annual Mighty 4 Day - Thank You!

The community attended Mighty 4 Arts Foundation’s 3rdAnnual Mighty 4 Day on Saturday, June 28th in downtownUnion City. Old Alvarado Park was filledwith a diversity of people who came to celebrate Hip Hop, Health, and Hope in beautiful weather. People enjoyed cultural performances byTehani Dance Studio and Yaw Yan Filipino Martial Arts. We Got Next breakin’ summer camp students performed what they learned from their week long breakin’ dance camp in front of the huge crowd of attendees. Everyone cheered them on! Food trucks with healthy options were on site. The Mighty 4 AwardsPresentation honored Union City resident Myrla Raymundo, Davey D, Gina Mariko, and B Boy Vietnam a member of Union City’s own international championship breakdancing crew, Rock Force. Attendees of all ages danced the day away to old and new music. The community got together, celebrated and hadfun!

The 3rd Annual Mighty 4 Day was a huge success because of its support system. The Mighty 4 Arts Foundation would like to thank everyone who contributed to the success of Mighty 4 Day!Our utmost gratitude goes to Kaiser Permanente for being a presenting sponsor. Thank you to Union City founded, Expressions Entertainment, for providing sound and stage setup.

Special thanks to the Mayor of Union City, Carol Dutra-Vernaci, for showing her support. Thank you to the City Council, as well as City Staff for allowing the Mighty 4 Arts Foundation to build within the community. Also, a huge thank you to the Union City Historical Museum for providing a base for the Mighty 4 Arts Foundation.Thank you to all of our partners who provided performances/shows, the food, the activities and the solidarity of like-minded individuals.
