What: Car Seat Check-up Safety Event When: Saturday, May 4, 2024 Where: James Logan High School (Parking Lot between H St. &amp; Hartnell St.) Entry on Hartnell St. Time: 10 am -12 noon
 
UCPD has partnered with Falck EMS, SAFEKids, and UC Recycles to promote car seat safety awareness in our community. This is a free and essential service that we are providing to our residents. 
You can sign up for a FREE car seat inspection today! However, there are limited slots available, so please sign up as soon as possible by calling 510.618.2050. 
Also, we will be collecting gently used toys and baby clothes to support families in our Union City community. Parents, please bring your kids along with you, so that we can ensure that your car seats are snug and fit for their bodies. We will have some fun interactive displays that teach about car safety for your pets and children.
**You must be signed up to participate in the car seat check but anyone one can drop off toys or clothing! **

Every four years, the Area Agency on Aging (AAA) prepares a Countywide Area Plan for Older Adults (CWAP) that strategizes decisions, partnerships, and improvements throughout Alameda County for residents aged 55+. The services are provided by the AAA along with our network of community partners, which include the <a href="https://www.alamedacountysocialservices.org/about-us/Adult-and-Aging-Services/advisory-commission-on-aging" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Advisory Commission on Aging</a>, community-based organizations, public agencies, and the private sector.

"A fan favorite, the Drone Show returns over the Stella Artois Grandstand (except July 4). Enjoy a magical light show put on with drones! Visible all over the Fairgrounds, the best viewing is at the race track.
"There will be no fireworks or drone show on July 4, the Fair will close at 8pm on July 4 only.

"Starting June 14, 2024, carnival wristbands may only be purchased on site at a Butler Kiosk in the Kids or Midway Carnival areas. Butler kiosks take both credit card and cash. All day passes and individual ticket purchase all print as wristbands now.
